“Taabe, this morning in the sky, I saw a sign. The thunderbird. I've been practicing. It's time. I'm ready for my kühtaamia.”
“You really think you're ready? You wanna hunt something that's hunting you?”
Set among the Comanche people of North America in the year 1719, this action/horror/science fiction thriller is a one-of-a-kind film. PREY even has two versions, and English-language version and a Comanche-language version.
We wanted to celebrate PREY in a way that pays respect to its heritage. So we got in touch with the amazing Cynthia Canada, an indigenous Comanche artist who works in the traditional ledger-art style. This piece, the original of which hangs in the Cavity offices, is her beautiful tribute to the film.
